FF480ED9-E6F3-4792-881C-B93A15B70088

There is no better way to unwind and party up a storm after a long hard year of studying and working than at the 4U RAGE FESTIVAL taking place in Ballito and Umhlanga in Kwa-Zulu Natal from the 29th of November to the 7th of December 2013.

All the international acts along with the stellar local acts will be performing at the revolutionary Sound Factory brought to you by G&G Productions. Not only has G&G Productions provided the biggest and best venue to celebrate 4U RAGE FESTIVAL but they have also ensured that there will not be one second of the festival where you can be left unentertained. Willards Beach in Ballito will host many daytime activities while getting that bronze tan and showing off your chiseled assets. There will be beach touch rugby, beach volleyball as well as a beach soccer pitch setup for all the sporty types to enjoy in the day. If being too active in the day is not your thing, The Coconut Grove on the beach will host many DJ’s performing throughout the day as well as chill areas where you can enjoy a non-alcoholic coconut cocktail, getting the energy levels revitalized for the next big party that night. The 4U RAGE squad will also be scouting the areas giving out many exciting spot prizes as well as making sure you are being entertained non-stop throughout the festival.

Blackberry will also be providing many opportunities to win exclusive experiences such as entry into the Upgrade Deck at the Sound Factory which includes a VIP area with complimentary drinks, food and lounge areas. Also on offer for ragers is the opportunity to mingle with celebs and get the VIP treatment in the 4U and Blackberry Mini’s that will be on the go every afternoon at the festival. Ragers will also have the chance to win their share of R600 000 worth of prizes which includes Vodacom 4U vouchers, Blackberry smartphones, Jam Jar Bluetooth speakers and much more.

After the announcement that eight premium international DJ’s in the form of R3hab, Danny Avila, Borgore, Stimming, Tube & Berger, Bakermat, Hannah Wants and Madeon was made, 4U RAGE PASSPORTS started becoming scarce from selling out at a rapid rate. Party people of South Africa started creating many online viral campaigns of their own to win exclusive 4U RAGE PASSPORTS with Platinum treatment. The winner has been chosen and they will have the ultimate 4U RAGE FESTIVAL experience by spending the week in a mansion with five friends partying it up at the biggest youth festival in South Africa.

4U RAGE FESTIVAL and G&G Productions encourages responsible and safe partying for all those that attend. Many measurements have been put into place to ensure all those that attend have the biggest and best party while being safe. Le Roi – Opening

LE ROI-COVER IMAGE-1

Le Roi Beach Bar – Camps Bays Coronation

Life.Music.Art

A new jewel has been added to the Camps Bay crown, LE ROI (say; ‘Le-Wah’), opened its doors this weekend. Embracing the pillars of life, music and art—a diverse crowd gathered to enjoy sensational views and groovy house music against a funky yet sophisticated backdrop on both Saturday and Sunday nights.

Life
Saturday’s private opening welcomed movers-and-shakers from worlds of fashion, music, art and business. The atmosphere was high-end without being pretentious, welcoming and warm—with the kind of buzz only a room full of creatives can generate. There was plenty of fuel in the form of king sized sushi plates, decadent fruit platters, delicious cocktails, along with all the usual premium spirits and wines, and helpful servers on-hand. Surveying the weaving and bopping, colourful beach bar, it was clear Le Roi has created a landscape for like-minded people to share ideas, opinions and interests. Sunday’s session enjoyed the same quixotic mix of Cape Town’s mavericks—a portent for a glorious summer ahead.

Music
Le Roi is a groove bar that specialises in a unique offering of house music with a retro spin, and avant-garde DJane Miss Pickett spun a magic set on Saturday. As the peach-gold sunset faded into the sea, Miss Pickett wove a soundscape of deep house beats to more soulful tunes as the stars came out. On Sunday, Le Roi opened to the public and top local DJ, Dean FUEL commanded the dance floor with his intuitive brand of groovy house—as if to say, Sundays in Camps Bay are back!

Art
Inspired by the vibrant palette of Vladimir Tretchikoff’s work, the unusual décor creates a stylish backdrop from which to enjoy the view of Cape Town’s most famous beach, masterful electronic dance music, and the kind of people you’d love to have on speed dial.

A launch to remember and nights to never forget—the reign of The King has just begun.

About Le Roi Beach Bar:

A new jewel has been added to the Camps Bay crown; LE ROI (pronounced; “Le Wah”) overlooks the sandy white expanse of Cape Town’s most famous beach. It embraces like-minded people with a passion for life, music and art.

Inspired by the vibrant palette of Tretchikoff’s work, the décor is intrepid and unusual and creates a stylish backdrop from which to enjoy a wide range of equally inventive cocktails.

When darkness creeps up the beach, allow Trechikoff’s “Miss Wong and the Lady from Orient” to play host to the good vibrations and contentment that people search for whilst watching the sun go down over the azure sea – drink in hand.

It’s all about being bold and vivacious yet retro and vintage. Simply put, Le Roi is not your typical Camps Bay beach bar – instead it’s a sensational escape.

Farryl Purkiss’ song to be heard in US Cinemas from July, 19th 2013

image001

Following the success of singles “Pennies in the snow”, “Sticks and Stones” and “Dejavu” all being placed in high profile series such as Private Practice and movies such as Blue Crush 2Farryl Purkiss will reach US fans once more as the movie “Ways To Live Forever” opens in select cinemas today.

Ways to Live forever” is not only the title to the internationally acclaimed film but also the theme song to the drama, which Farryl Purkiss had written for the Ben Chaplin movie. The film was first released in the UK and Spain in late 2010 and is based on the Sally Nicolls book, which centers around 12-year old Sam who has leukemia. Although the adults in his life don’t want him to dwell on it, Sam wants to know everything about his disease and death, a possibility he might face. In this poignant yet ultimately uplifting tale, Sam and his family face the immensity of an uncertain future with love, humor, and a touch of the unexpected. For more on the film go to http://www.waystoliveforevermovie.com/home/

Farryl recorded the single “Ways To Live Forever” with producer Kieran Kelly and included it on his 2013 album release, “Home”.

What the press have to say about Farryl’s “Home” album:

Home. Devoted to his wife, it explores the full scale of the human heart – everything from despair to self-doubt, death, discovery and devotion – and is remarkably authentic. It also happens to be a really fucking fantastic listen.”  GQ Magazine South Africa

What happened to the rustic folk-guitar jangles, strummed psyche-pop hues and baroque Tim Buckley-esque balladry that fuelled Purkiss’ previous album, Fruitbats & Crows? Well, it’s all here, it’s just evolved into a more mature, crafted and confident pop medium” – Rolling Stone magazine, 3.5 out of 5

The album is a poignant reflection on belonging, with the cover – illustrated with a bearded pipe smoker – evoking the romantic sentiment of a simple, poetic life stripped of excess and clutter. Ofcourse Purkiss is still young and not quite yet the wise, bearded smoker on the cover, he sums up the album manifesto with the words ‘Live for what you said you would when you were young.’ Sounds pretty wise to me.” – The Big Issue

This album is a poignant triumph, slightly less radio-friendly than Fruitbats & Crows, but with a much stronger personality– The New Age, 4.5 out of 5

Singer-Songwriter Farryl Purkiss is, superficially, the archetypal solo artist – an operator who can make a considerable impact with only an acoustic guitar and his voice. This album rather ruins that cliché, but in a good way. Purkiss is joined by a crack band that includes strings and a banjo. The result, not surprisingly, is a sound that’s a good deal fuller than fans of his early stuff might expect.” – The Citizen, 7 out of 10

First track in and you can tell Farryl Purkiss means business. This album is the old, tried tested and golden method of creating something for someone and then giving it to the world.” – Muse magazine, 8.5 out of 10
