Concerts SA is proud to announce Stuart Reece’s Festive Season Tour of the Eastern and Western Cape this December.
Stuart Reece kicks off his tour on Friday 16 December at the Pig & Whistle in Bathurst and reaches Bonamia (PE), Cocomos (Wilderness), Tapas (Knysna), The Harbour Rock (Hermanus), The Gecko Bar (Hermanus), Robertsons Brewery (George), Rocky Lily (St Francis Bay), The Music Kitchen (PE) and BBG’s (Bushmans River) through-out December and into January.
“I am really excited about this tour,” says Stuart. “I will always be a coastal boy and being in that part of SA for the festive season makes my heart so happy. I am bringing along my mega loop-station and I have a few tricks up my sleeve that I’m sure people will enjoy. I will be mixing it up this time by playing the songs that people know and love from radio as well as a few of my favourite covers. I’d like to give a big thank you to Concerts SA for believing in me and backing this tour.”
Stuart Reece was born in East London, grew up in Port Elizabeth and has been making music since 2010 when he started the Stuart Reece Band. With money saved from waiting tables he recorded his first EP, Leave This Town, at Drop ‘n’ Roll studios with Bryan McLagan (founding member of The Finkelsteins) and had two of the singles from the EP make it onto national radio, with the single Love Song reaching number three on Algoa FM. The EP was followed by his first full length album Chasing Shadows in April 2012 which produced singles Write About Us and Better Left Unsaid. In June 2013 Stuart and his band headed into Drop ‘n’ Roll for a third time and recorded their second full length album, Storm. The album launched to a sold-out crowd at the Athenaeum in Port Elizabeth in October 2013 and the first and only single, Alright, also picked up national radio airplay.
The next 2 years saw Stuart tour extensively and also relocate to Johannesburg.
In June 2016 Stuart released his Broke Down Beat Down EP which has enjoyed some great radio success with the first single Silver Rocket Cadillac peaking at #1 on the Algoa FM Top 30, Coming Home charted on the Algoa Fm Top 30 and most recently his new single Away Away peaking at #2 on the Jacaranda FM SA Top 20.
